Vessel database now with more then 100.000 entries

When started three years ago, we had a couple hundred ships listed, mainly tracked in the Southern Baltic. Our effort to build a good designed vessel list, which could constantly grow, has been a success.
With the great help of our members here at Digital-Seas, we’ve created one of the best free resources on the web, today crossing the mark of 100.000 vessels listed. Thanks for that!
Every new AIS source/share is extending this database and all the great images uploaded, are illustrating worldwide fleets very well.

To give an overview of our Vessel-Search area, I added some screenshots:

@Erik: “your” ferrys are just crossing an area, where we simply have no antenna coverage. So you still can use your favourite site to track them or better: as an IT specialist you could organize an antenna in your area and enjoy up to the second vessel tracking, when sharing with us. Would that be possible ?

Sry ! – Not good enough ! – Many positions are outdated (several days) – If I search my vessels om marinetraffic.com I get positions which are plotted only minutes ago.
    I.e. try “Vesborg” or “Kyholm”.
