To keep you updated, here’s an overview of this Month new AIS stations:

Davao City, Phillippines

Davao City is a highly urbanized city on Mindanao, Philippines. It is part of the East Asian Growth Area, a regional economic-cooperation initiative in Southeast Asia. Agriculture remains the largest economic sector comprising banana, pineapple, coffee and coconut plantations in the city. Bearing the nickname as the “Fruit Basket of the Philippines t is the island’s leading exporter of fruits such as mangoes, pomeloes, bananas, coconut products, pineapples, papayas, mangosteens and cacao.

Gandhidham, India

Gandhidham is a city of India. The town was created in the early 1950s and was named after Mahatma Gandhi, the father of Indian nation. The Port nearest is the Kandla Port Trust, a seaport in Kutch. It is one of major ports on west coast. The Port of Kandla is India’s hub for exporting grains and importing oil and one of the highest-earning ports in the country. Major imports entering the Port of Kandla are petroleum, chemicals, and iron and steel and iron machinery, but it also handles salt, textiles, and grain.

Karachi, Pakistan

Karachi is the largest and most populous city in Pakistan. It is Pakistan’s financial and commercial capital. Since Pakistan’s independence, Karachi has been the centre of the nation’s economy, and remain’s Pakistan’s largest urban economy. Karachi Export Processing Zone, SITE, Korangi, Northern Bypass Industrial Zone, Bin Qasim and North Karachi serve as large industrial estates in Karachi.

Kettering, Australia

Kettering is a coastal town on the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. It is situated in a bay known as Little Oyster Cove and to the north is another bay known as Oyster Cove. These two places played a profound part in Tasmania’s history. Kettering is the centre for fishing in the region. It has two major marinas, South Haven Marina and Oyster Cove Marina, as well as many smaller, privately owned jetties. The Bruny Island Ferry, Mirambeena, runs from Kettering numerous times a day.

Newport, United States

Newport is a seaside city on Aquidneck Island. It was founded in 1639 and is the county seat of Newport County. It was known for being the city of some of the “Summer White Houses” during the administrations of Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower and John F. Kennedy.

Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela

Puerto La Cruz is a port city located in Anzoátegui State, in Venezuela and is located on the southern shore of the Caribbean.
To the west of the city is the terminal of one of the main ferry lines linking Isla Margarita with the mainland, while to the east is a private marina that caters for tourists and visitors. In the area of Guaraguao of Puerto La Cruz, there is also a terminal for the export/import of crude oil processed at the refinery in the city.

Tczew, Poland

Tczew is a town on the Vistula River in Eastern Pomerania, Kociewie, of northern Poland. Tczew is the fourth-largest town in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is an important railway junction with a classification yard dating to the Prussian Eastern Railway. Its image has been changing for several years into a resident-friendly town that is also attractive to tourists.
